Victory Ride for Victims Benefit Motorcycle Ride

WILKES-BARRE, MAY 30, 2014: The Flying Aces Motorcycle Club will be hosting a benefit ride for Domestic Violence Service Center (DVSC). “Victory Ride For Victims” will be held on Saturday, June 21th and registration will be from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at the Flying Aces Club & Camp grounds located in Weatherly. The cost is $10 for driver and $5 for rider which includes food, beverages, live entertainment from Hooligan and D.J. Richie Green, 50/50 drawing, raffle baskets, vendors and more. There will be a $10 admission for non-bikers. This is a family friendly event open to everyone and camping will also be available. “We are proud to be part of such a great cause and to help bring awareness to domestic violence”, said Charlie “Chaz” Bird, Club President. “When DVSC volunteer, Tracy Clark, approached us to organize a ride, we were glad to help.” The Flying Aces are a motorcycle club located in Rockport, Pennsylvania who give back to the community through various events and organized motorcycle rides. Funds raised from this event will enable us to continue to provide programs and direct services to victims of domestic violence in Luzerne and Carbon Counties,” said Denise Driscoll, Special Events/Marketing for DVSC. “Events such as this help to bring awareness to the seriousness of domestic violence, what we can do as a society to aid in stopping the violence and what resources are available to victims and their families.” The Domestic Violence Service Center is a private, non-profit organization serving Luzerne and Carbon Counties, whose purpose is to work toward the elimination of domestic violence. Since 1976, the Domestic Violence Service Center has been providing supportive services to victims and survivors of domestic violence. DVSC is a member agency of United Way of Wyoming of Valley and Greater Hazleton, Inc.
